Energy Assembly- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade
On February 28th, 2018, Tom Tyndall from Choptank Electric presented to all grade levels on renewable energy and energy conservation. The presentation featured the "Phantom of Load" which inspired students to be mindful of unplugging electronics when they are not in use.

Classroom Jobs and Energy Conservation Posters- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade

Following the energy assembly, students discussed the importance of conserving energy. Classroom jobs were created to designate a student who has the responsibility of turning off the lights, and SMART board when leaving the room. Students also created energy conservation posters in Art. Students posted their work in the hallways and classrooms above light switches, near classroom projectors, and by computer power strips in the classroom.

Daily Announcements
Beginning in 2017, students across grade levels have been participating in daily announcements that are broadcasted over the television system each day. Each week, students plan a segment that focuses on Energy Conservation in our efforts to "go green". Students topics have been on the importance of turning off the lights when they are not being used, unplugging items that are not in use, and walking or riding a bike instead of riding the bus,
